Fossombrone

An ancient town with Roman origins, the town has a rich medieval past and provides an authentic experience. Centro Storico di Fossombrone is scenic. Walk along the main street of Corso Garibaldi to see Renaissance palaces, noble façades, and terracotta rooftops. Head off the main street and into the smaller walkways for stone arcades and small piazzas.

The town lies along the Metauro River in the northern Marche region, surrounded by wooded hills and gentle valleys.
